I know it'll probably never happen, but if your a fan of the comics and if a game like this were to happen. What playable characters would you want. You can put your own roster if you want. Here would be mine if there were to be a DC vs Marvel video game.

DC Side:

Batman

Superman

Wonder Woman

The Flash

Green Lantern

Aquaman

Cyborg

Zatanna

Shazam

The Joker

Catwoman

Lex Luthor

Sinestro

Black Adam

Darkseid (Unlockable)

Martian Manhunter (DLC)

Lobo (DLC)

Marvel Side:

Spider-Man

Wolverine

Storm

Captain America

Ironman

Thor

The Hulk

Daredevil

Elektra

Venom

Sabretooth

Magneto

Apocalypse

Loki

Thanos (Unlockable)

Deadpool (DLC)

Carnage (DLC)

(DLC) means Downloadable Content.

You pretty much hit the main characters. On the DC side, I would prefer Bane as DLC and then Martian Manhunter in over Cyborg.

Ooh, I love rosters. Since you haven't specified how many characters we can have, I'll be going with fifty to compete with the Marvel vs Capcom franchise.

DC:

01. Superman

02. Batman

03. Wonder Woman

04. Green Lantern

05. Nightwing

06. The Flash

07. Catwoman

08. Aquaman

09. Martian Manhunter

10. Swamp Thing

11. The Joker

12. Zatanna

13. Dr. Fate

14. Green Arrow

15. The Question

16. Cyborg

17. Raven

18. Starfire

19. Deathstroke

20. Static

21. Hawkgirl

22. Lex Luthor

23. Captain Marvel

24. Captain Atom

25. Owlman

Marvel:

01. Spider-Man

02. Iron Man

03. Captain America

04. Thor

05. The Hulk

06. Black Widow

07. Deadpool

08. Howard the Duck

09. Ghost Rider

10. Wolverine

11. Storm

12. Karolina Dean

13. Howard the Duck

14. War Machine

15. Dr. Strange

16. Black Heart

17. The Punisher

18. Psylocke

19. Invisible Woman

20. Mr. Fantastic

21. Dr. Doom

22. Nightcrawler

23. Magneto

24. Green Goblin

25. Daredevil

Alternate costumes would have a heavier emphasis on alternate characters or alternate universe versions. For instance, the primary costume for Green Lantern would be Hal Jordan, but other costumes would be Guy Gardner, Kyle Rainer, John Stewart, and Alan Scott. Alternate costumes for Superman could include Ultraman (and Other-Earth Supermen), The Flash could have costumes for Jay Garrick as well as Barry and Bart Allan and the Reverse-Flashes. Each of these alternate character costumes would have their own voice list to accompany them and help to characterize them a little better.

Additionally, I have come up with two very large DLC packs, one for each company. These packs are heavily inspired by the Animated and Cinematic universes for the respective companies and feature characters which first appeared on the screen. These packs also include costumes for the other heroes based on their animated or film counterparts (such as Patience Phillips Catwoman).

DC Silver Screen Pack:

01. Harley Quinn (Batman: The Animated Series)

02. Mercy Graves (Superman: The Animated Series)

03. Red X (Teen Titans)

04. Space Ghost (Space Ghost)

05. Apache Chief (Super Friends)

06. Zeta (The Zeta Project)

07. Lock-Up (Batman: The Animated Series)

08. Aqualad Kaldur'ahm (Young Justice)

09. Razer (Green Lantern: The Animated Series)

10. Aya (Green Lantern: The Animated Series)

*Space Ghost can appear as he is owned by parent company Warner Bros. Space Ghost previously had a miniseries published by DC in 2005 and later went on to guest star in an opening segment of Batman: The Brave and the Bold.*

Marvel Silver Screen Pack:

01. Firestar (Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends)

02. X-23 (X-Men: Evolution)

03. Spyke (X-Men: Evolution)

04. New Goblin (Spider-Man 3)

05. Phil Coulson (Marvel Cinematic Universe)

06. Moreau (Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance)

07: Abigor (Ghost Rider)

08. Tanaka's Daughter (The Punisher [1989])

09. Torunn (Next Avengers: Heroes of Tomorrow)

10. Hawkeye II (Next Avengers: Heroes of Tomorrow)

Additional Costumes:

I think it would be cool to have crossover of alternate universes. For example, it might be neat to give the Marvel heroes costumes heavily influenced by the recent Injustice game and to give the DC heroes Noir or 2099-inspired looks.

I would prefer, however, that the primary costumes resemble their more traditional appearances. I'm not a particular fan of all that armor taking the spotlight.

08. Howard the Duck

13. Howard the Duck

I would replace one of those with Ant-man, but other then that, I agree!

Oh, I had a feeling I put him twice but the list got all in my eyes! Thanks. Now I can put someone else.

Edit: I always forget how editing works on this board.

I'd replace that second Howard there with Black Cat.
