Saru Posted May 1, 2013 #1 Share Posted May 1, 2013 A microscopic one minute stop-motion animation has been made entirely out of individual atoms. J. K. Posted May 1, 2013 #5 Share Posted May 1, 2013 Do atoms come in different sizes? The material that the atoms are sitting on looks solid (and malleable). Are its atoms so small they can't be seen at that magnification?
ineffectiveArtist Posted May 1, 2013 #6 Share Posted May 1, 2013 Ha. Neat, now we just need to find some practical use for that. Or do they already have one?

freetoroam Posted May 1, 2013 #8 Share Posted May 1, 2013 Pretty cool, but how will this help the future of mankind? I remember a story of a teenage boy who wrote his whole exam answers in a space the size of a stamp, he was still under the effects of LCD from the night before.
