Humans began to live in urban settlements about 7 thousand years ago. As humans continued to evolve over the millennia, so too did our cities. Now, our cities are about to change again — and they're going to look more like ancient Machu Picchu than the gleaming towers of glass and steel we have today.

All the futuristic cities I have seen portrayed look like boring places to live in. Sanitized Disnyworlds.

I fear future human evolution will be created artificially by altering our genome. It's the old story of mindless workers and their idle, frivolous masters.

I think we will almost all eventually live in highrise luxury flats. Delivery of goods and services are cheaper with those and they use less land. More and more land will be devoted to wilderness and open spaces.

More than likely the aging process will be greatly slowed, children will be rare and require a license.
