Space Commander Travis Posted May 10, 2013 #4 Share Posted May 10, 2013 I'm not sure about this, if you consider all those Patriarchs in the Old testament who were all about 150 years old, and i don't think that Bacon usually formed a major part of their diet.

True story, a Jewish woman where I worked used to insist on having her days off for the jewish festival, and yet many a time had a bacon roll for mid morning tea.

Wickian Posted May 11, 2013 #12 Share Posted May 11, 2013 Some people just hit the genetic lottery with bodies that can withstand all the smoke and grease they can throw at it and still survive over a century. Others aren't that lucky.

pallidin Posted May 11, 2013 #25 Share Posted May 11, 2013 (edited) Bacon is very tasty for some of us. However, to associate it, directly, with extended longevity is wrong. There is simply no evidence at all apart from association from that one person. It would be like saying that water has been proven to sustain life(which is true), yet all who drank water has eventually died(which is also true) So, association, in and of itself, is flawed.
