Does believing Obama mean you are racist?

36 posts in this topic

Does believing Obama mean you are racist? I ask the question seriously because the man stands up there and when questioned about these 4 massive scandals, all of which were designed to make sure he was reelected in 2012, he tells doesn't know a thing about any of them. Not a thing but he'll fix it just like he fixed the deficit and unemployment.

No other sitting president would ever get away with this, not even Clinton. How could a President be so completely ignorant and out of touch as to not have a clue any of this had been going on? Where was the man for 8 hours while his embassy was under attack because apparently no one thought to inform him of this event.

So, if no other president would be allowed to just say "I didn't know a thing!" why does the left and the MSM (same thing) let Obama skate. Why do they accept this ridiculous excuse? Is it because hey view him as different than anyone else who has been president because of the color of his skin and isn't that the definition of racism?

I certainly have zero doubt the man was aware of most of this and blessed it. It just isn't possible his staff never whispered to the man that his progressive minions at the IRS were handling the Tea Party thing and the problem of the Citizens United case. Yet so many here believe he was completely unaware of anything while controlling so much power and so many spies in all areas of the system. Why?

I think most don't really believe him, anymore, but some are living in denial....

The concept of denial is particularly important to the study of addiction. The theory of denial was first researched seriously by Anna Freud. She classified denial as a mechanism of the immature mind, because it conflicts with the ability to learn from and cope with reality.

I think the question should be, who sees him as a President and not through the lens of paranoia. I don't believe any living President has had the number of "urban legends" attributed to him more than President Obama. So it is hard to quantify his presidency without taking into consideration that so many are seeing him through that distorted lens. Am I saying he's perfect? Absolutely not, no one is, but reality and truth have been subverted of late into spin and fear mongering. Plenty of other Presidents have had to deal with scandals, issues that have come up etc, but who they were as people was something that wasn't altogether questioned. When the Iran Contra scandal broke, when to me it seemed that if the President knew or didn't know about what was going on right under his nose, the public seemed to ignore if he knew or should have known and gave him the benefit of the doubt because he was "Ronald Reagan" older, white male, so he must be trustworthy. If anything the bizarre, paranoidal scrutiny that Obama has faced has meant that those who don't believe in his policies don't believe in them not because they don't agree with them but they don't agree with HIM, personally, with who he is.

People started to wake up under Bush's last term. The bankster bail-out began the great awakening. And thank God for it. 0bama supported it, and continued it. Thats how all this started. We as Americans have been far to indifferent to what our government has been doing. Now 0bama has wilfully allowed 4 Americans to be killed without even trying to help them. Has unleashed the IRS on his political enemies. Has used the IRS to set up a "charity" in his brothers name without ever even applying for tax exempt status, but getting it anyway. Lied about damn near everything he said during his first campaign, and you think this is just a personal vendetta against him? That is absurd.

The Birthers and those who think he is Muslim come to mind. The thirteen percent of Americans think he is the Anti-Christ. The people who think he is the Devil from the history channel. The people who think he is a Socialist.

I'm not saying he is a great president (I voted for Gary Johnson), but his detractors come off to me as bat crazy looney at times.

As for the scandals- After spending millions of tax payer dollars investigating Fast and Furious with the end result of a contempt charge, I'd have to say I am a little reluctant to buy into the hoopla surrounding the current scandals. Get me some convictions and throw some people in jail and then go ahead and put it all over the news. Putting it in the news before that is just party propaganda designed to stir up the mindless masses, in my opinion.

:tu:

The problem is that no one knew anything about this guy when they voted him in, just his great cars salesman speeches and the fact that he was....Do I dare say it...BLACK. Everyone was so caught up in having the "First Black President". You'd think after FOUR years of failed campaign promises, people wouldn't have been so stupid as to vote him back in, yet they did! And I thought people were dumb for voting for Bush, Jr. twice....

Obama is a socialist. He is trying to destroy America. Watch "2016: Obama's America". The movie is eye-opening.

Obama is just like every other politician in Washington. He lies, all the time, yet no one calls him on it. He has the most crooked politicians in his inner circle (Clinton, Holder). Not to mention he was a politician in CHICAGO the most crooked city in America. What else did people expect?

Impeach him already!

Well that is a more then understandable concern. These people have operated as though they are above the law for a very long time with no legal action against them what so ever. Ive been watching the last few days very close though, and I gotta say it seems like the rats are jumping ship. So Im crossing fingers and hoping that justice will be served this time around. These are all huge scandal's. If nothing comes of all this, then we are in big trouble.

Great post. The only thing im not sure of is him being a socialist. I think he uses that as a mask to hide the fact that he's a fascist.

Reagan never got a pass. He was immediately accused and held responsible. The difference here is the MSM and people like you, who wouldn't hesitate to implicate any other president, mysteriously assume this one is telling the truth when he says he had no idea any of these things were going on. You'd laugh at any other president and rightfully so but Barry gets a pass. Hmmm. Must be a reason. You folks love throwing the racism bomb around, it certainly flew like snow during the election yet here you are setting different rules for this man and won't explain why.

Getting in for a second term clearly shows that a high percentage of Americans still wanted him in there. I guess he's doing some things right, after all he won!

How did he NOT get a pass? He said he knew, then he said he didn't, he was never held accountable either way. He sat before the Tower Commission and stated he did know, then later seemed to say he didn't and he "couldn't remember". I'm pretty sure that if that were the case with Obama you'd be wailing for his immediate impeachment. Again same point, it's not about the actions of the man, it's who he is and who (truthfully or otherwise) he is presumed to be. Take away the color issue, you and others like you think he is many things he has personally stated he is not. Reagan participated in a scandal and lied about it, but he's held up as a great President by those who admire him (strangely some of the same folks who despise Obama). SO who in fact has the rose colored glasses on?

Sadly, I think it goes beyond the low info types. I'm afraid we have reached a tipping point where enough Americans want the handouts than want to be free. If that IS the case then we are either doomed as a free nation OR it's time for a little REVOLUTION

BS, did you read is books? I went through them lightly, they aren't really readable but he tells you exactly who he is, over and over again. I don't care about color but apparently you guys do because you are giving this man a pass when you would go after anyone else, just as you did during Iran Contra. Boy, you're a hater from way back if you are bringing IC up.

Reread the question. It isn't about what the person said, it is about your reaction to it. Regan was never given a pass, he was assumed guilty from day one. Obama is being given a pass and assumed innocent from day one. Why? Do you and darkmoon think he should be treated lightly because he is incapable of doing the job and really is so stupid he missed everything?

Is this too hard for you and that other one, to understand or are you obfuscating to change the subject?

No one is obfuscating at all, we're bringing up that a scandal broke during the Reagan era, one he said he knew about, then said he "couldn't remember' and he's held as a hero to Conservatives, yet ANYTHING that Obama does or more to the point doesn't do is suspect and before anything happens at all he's already in the hole on believability by some because you think he is Muslim, he is a socialist, the Antichrist, you name it..That is why it's a double standard, if it is because he's black is that on you or me? Because it seems the Conservatives especially believed Reagan, he wasn't prosecuted, he wasn't impeached, and now he's seen as a great many as a Conservative to look up to. Edited by darkmoonlady

I'm married to a Muslim, well former Muslim, *snip*, so pulling the racist card won't work here. Anyways, Obama was a Black Theology adherent for the last 25 years so not sure how Muslim he is or was you old obfuscator you. Thanks for not answering my original question but answering my second so quickly, you've proved my point I think.

I didn't say you personally believe that I said many people who do not like Obama believe that and think it is a negative part of the President even though he has stated again and again that he isn't. I also intentionally didn't bring up recent Conservative scandals because they mostly involve George W. Bush which many are tired of comparisons to Obama because they were back to back Presidents. I also do not name call which I'm pretty sure is against the rules of the forum. I'm putting forward examples, that you do not like them and resort to name calling say more about you than me. The fact remains that Republicans in recent history have been part of scandals but they were already assumed to be many things they weren't, people were upset at the scandal not the person. I don't think the same can be said for Obama.
