Still Waters Posted June 4, 2013 #1 Share Posted June 4, 2013 This was less like a game of cat and mouse, and more like a show of lunchtime bullying. When Mango the tom cat visited his food bowl for a bite to eat, he found a tiny field mouse had already got there first. But rather than exhibit any of his natural feline hunting skills, timid Mango simply left the brazen visitor to it. http://www.dailymail...t-looks-on.html Cute

Ashotep Posted June 4, 2013 #3 Share Posted June 4, 2013 (edited) When food is involved mice can be brave and stupid. I wonder if this mouse is infected with that disease cats get. I've heard it will cause a mouse to seek out a cat and not be afraid of them so they can pass this disease to a cat. Can't think of the name of it for the life of me. Simbi Laveau Posted June 5, 2013 #7 Share Posted June 5, 2013 I had a bird that did this . I had a parakeet named Bluebell for years . He was a nasty bird . We would try to get him companions ,and he would kill them . I finally brought Morticia home . I gave her a bowl which sat by the side door to my house. Bluebells cage was a good ten feet away ,and he never ate anything but his own food. Not in five years . So the water and food bowls are on the floor . Morticia was still a kitten . We used to leave BBs cage door open . He had the run of the house . About two days after we got Morticia ,we look down, and there he is,perched on the rim of of the cat food bowl ,pecking at it . It was obviously a ploy to show dominance . He bullied Tish, until she was full grown that is .......
