Lost World Locked in Stone at Fossil Lake

3 posts in this topic

With just two inhabited buildings and a population of five, Fossil, Wyo., is all but a ghost town today. But as far as ghosts go, the ones at Fossil are pretty remarkable — 50-million-year-old monitor lizards, stingrays and freakishly long-tailed turtles among them.

I was in Aladdin, Wyoming, once, or at least I think I may have been. There was a sign and a motor home, but no one answered when I knocked on the door. Kind of place where one would not be surprised to see a dinosaur or two.
