That must of been awful to witness that. I wonder if something could be put around these turbines to keep birds from flying into them.

That would just really suck, wouldn't it.

I saw this too on a different news site. It's a shame it happened to such a rare bird but it's not uncommon for birds to do this unfortunately. There's been a lot of concern over the impact of wind turbines and birds. Those wind turbines are brutes of a thing, we can see them in the distance on the hills around here. An impressive spectacle in one way...massive things they are, but the poor birds don't stand a chance if they fly into the arms of one.
