Health Care is a Joke.Especially mine.

I really feel for you Sakari. I was with them a long time ago and when I had a miscarriage I spent a lot of time in the hospital up till it happened because of all the problems. However my doctor had to call them constantly for him to be able to keep me hospitalized. Anything involving using a hospital or specialist had to be approved first. That's the way HMO's are. Which they always approved it but I think things have gotten worse and that was through a big unionized company. I think we need a national non profit health insurance company.

We got a great health care system if you got insurance and the right one. If not, too bad.

Actually the poor really don't get healthcare like you think. They go to the emergy room and then don't pay for it.

Nice avatar, Sakari. :tu: Shtuff does happen!

----------------------------

I've noticed coverage for my husband's surgeries and medical treatments have involved more hoop jumping for approval than they used to. Which would be good if it ended up lowering our insurance costs by being more prudent, But I have no hope that will happen and fear more needed treatments will go unapproved.

(we are now dealing with large co-pays on his ridiculously expensive medical devices thanks to Obamacare taxes on them) And the one he has isn't even proven to work, but yet insurance approves it and pays a chunk for it!!!

OK,I'm not being glib or rude ,but what is it you think that happens when you have bad mojo around ?

Life goes to **** . Ok ...I'm serious .If you don't want to believe this, well ok ,but humor me ,as this is bad stuff .

1- Go to church ,get yourself some holy water ,and throw it on everything ,while praying ? Ok. Throw it on the house ,any vehicle you ride in ,and just think happy thoughts.

2- They do not care about us . We are expendable fodder, making the big medical system people rich .

Melanoma is very serious ,and I would find a doctor in your network who accepts your insurance .

This can become quite complicated . You may want to enquire about a full body scan that detects even cancer cells.

The dangers of melanoma are metastasis .Stage two isnt horrific ,but its still more than stage one .

You need to look into more healthy eating. Less red meat ,no gmos or processed garbage .the key to beating cancer ,is diet .

Start drinking braggs cider vinegar with honey ,as a tea, once a day . Or hot lemon juice with honey .

3- how can they say your wifes leg is broken ,with no xrays ? That's gross negligence .

I just had a patient come to me after breaking her arm in a fall, but her discharge papers were a xerox saying : you have broken an upper extremity .

This can be the shoulder ,arm ,wrist,or hand.

With no diagnosis of what she may have broken ,as the whole

arm is rather large .

Im sorry you're going thru all of this, but this is obamacare at work . It's a joke nationwide ,and needs to be nipped in the bud now.

Thanks Simbi, it is a fricken joke....

My wife, the Hospital did not even xray, they said she tore her MCL, and told her to go to a orthapdeic.......He did the Xray, and he is p***ED off at the Hospital.....

Gotta love small towns.......

Now, I will just copy and paste my face book thing to family and friends ( I only have close friends on there, kind of hate facebook ).....It explains what I am doing a lot...

And, any tips you have, feel free to PM me......As in, drinks and eats......I love green tea!

Figure I should make an announcement so everyone knows what is going on, and maybe I will not have to explain it to much. Some know all ready, and I also hope this can be a wake up call to anyone reading it.

About a week ago I was diagnosed with stage 2 skin cancer. A malignent Melanoma that was 2.08MM deep. Here is what the cancer society says...

Stage IIA: The 5-year survival rate is around 81%. The 10-year survival is around 67%.

Now, that scares the **** out of me.......But.

The Dermatologist for one said to not research on the internet. He also says he thinks the chance this has spread is 5% to 10%......But, I am now a high risk person for this to come again.

I had a growth taken off of my leg for a biopsy, I thought it was " just a mole ". If I had this done a year ago, I would be good to go right now. I waited to long.

If anyone you know has anything like this, get it checked right away. And, when you are getting " sun tanned ", that is your skin turning brown trying to defend itself, it is a sign that something bad is happening.....Wear sunscreen, wear hats, wear UV protective long sleeve shirts if you have to.....Do not be stupid.

All of the sunburns I got in Nevada are most likely why I have this. If a person burns 5 times, they double your chances of getting this....

Now, here is what is happening. I am going to a Cancer Surgeon next week. I will drink some radioactive crap, and they will scan my body. If any cancer spread in my lymphnodes, this will show it. Just have to hope to hell it did not.

If it did not, they are going to dig more out of where the mole was, sticth me up, and tell me I am cancer free for the time being. I will have to get checked every 6 months the same way, and eventually, just once a year....For the rest of my life.

I need to make it a priority to protect myself from the Sun, it is my enemy now.

Now, if I have more cancer, it makes my survival rate lower, and if bad enough, not a good outlook. I assure everyone, my Doctors seem to think I will be clear, but that doubt does not leave my mind, and it never will for as long as I live.

So, when I know more, I will let everyone know...Family first, then here.

Please keep me in your thoughts, I am really not ready to go anywhere soon.

EDIT ...... This should have been a PM to Simbi......So, just ignore it, except Simbi :)

I hope to God I do not die before a Revolution happens.......I now see what people are going through, first hand......It is a ******* joke.

Yet, as I drive home from the Doctors, I see al of these welfare people, the ones that can work, but will not, getting all the medical they need, and without spending a ******* dime.....

It must be frustrating. You can also get free healthcare in the U.S.A. by virtue of your race, providing it's Native American. Doesn't sound fair does it? Actually it sounds kinda racist, no?

No nation's health care is perfect. Canada spends the majority of it's federal budget on healthcare and what do they get; wait lists to see a specialist or for an operation, that can take many months. Those who can afford to (including politicians) will just fly down to the nearest Mayo clinic and pay cash. So much for "universal health care".

Don't worry yourself sick, it's most likely benign. But fair skin people need to take caution outside, they need to take this seriously. I thought about posting something about the ozone depletion and UV rays, but this isn't the forum.

That really sucks Sakari, I feel for you.....

Worrying yourself sick isn't going to help, though. It will just wear your immune system down. I know it's hard, but you have to think positive. On another note, many of my male relations have had skin cancer. (Worked outside all their lives, or in the case of my grandpa, played to much golf when he retired....) Most of the time everything turns out okay. It probably hasn't spread, though. Just be thankful you caught it early!

Praying everything turns out okay for you!

Best of luck with your condition. I have come to hate insurance...when a life or pain for a life can come down to a dollar figure and profit margin...we have really lost our way.

We carry insurance through my wife's employer. I am self employed so it was just cheaper to go that way than to go with an individual policy...but it's still a scam.

My middle daughter had a very-very rare condition. A motility disorder. Your stomach and digestive tract basically "beats" like a slow heart. Her's had stopped doing that. She would eat and then a day later, throw it up. We took her to all kinds of doctor's and they kept saying it was bolemia and she was doing it to herself....but we knew that was wrong. I got a job offer (I was working in-house back then) to go to Maryland. I took the job and the company had rocking good insurance...I took my daughter to a doctor who wrote us a referral to John Hopkins in Baltimore. We went to see a specialist...he had actually treated this very rare condition before...and...now...years later...my daughter is well. She has to take a certain medication a couple times a week but otherwise, she leads a normal life. Point being...ages ago when this first appeared...the doctors and insurance companies did not care about healing her....they just wanted to shuffle her through the line and blame it on her.

By the way...this disorder was caused by a virus that damaged the nervous system controlling her digestive system....just so you know.

Don't forget that, in addition to anxiety pills, under the new law you(as a man) pay for and are covered for child birth! Even if you're single.

I have had the same insurance for a few decades. It costs about $1000/month. But I've always had to deal with the same thing that you are going through Sakari. They send a small booklet with what they cover, what they don't, what percentages, what deductibles, etc. Normally I throw it away, but nowadays I give it to the wife and she reads through it and schedules check-ups and appointments based on what it covered for the year. When Obama was talking about changing the healthcare system, I was hoping that this would be one of the things that got fixed. But it stayed the same. In the end, insurance isn't there to make you better but rather it is there to make insurance companies profit. It sucks about the melanoma. I hope you get better.

Yeah you're not the only one. I had a couple of health insurance companies years ago that were like that and this was way before Obamacare came along. Wouldn't hardly pay for the special things that was really needed if I got some bad disease, heart trouble or whatever plagues us these days. And these insurance deals were offered through the companies I worked for.

Looks like things haven't changed.

It took me forever to pick my plan under the Affordable Care Act, but so far I'm very happy, because it's paying for most of what I need, without a lot of hassle, and the premium actually dropped this year by about $25 a month for more coverage!

Obama is my hero.

God bless him ...

Is that in Arkansas? (Only asking because you got Mayflower, AR listed in your sig, where that bad tornado hit down there.) But I heard both the Repubs and Dems in Arkansas were working together on Obamacare and making it work somehow for most of the Arkansan population.

It is a joke sorrxy to hear, but i heard you can refuse to have the state health insurance you would only have to pay a onetime fee.
