shrooma Posted July 23, 2013 #4 Share Posted July 23, 2013 i dunno MS, i'm not sure how salvage rights work, or if after 40yrs 'finders keepers' would come into play?
Waspie_Dwarf Posted July 23, 2013 Author #5 Share Posted July 23, 2013 Technically, don't the engine parts belong to NASA? Yes, but this salvage was done with NASA's permission and cooperation. The project is not being done for commercial gain and the engines will be displayed in museums.

Antilles Posted July 24, 2013 #8 Share Posted July 24, 2013 Just a note. 24 July 1969 Apollo 11 splashed down into the Pacific. What an awesome experience for Collins, Aldrin and Armstrong. What an awesome experience for the world. What's happened? 40 years later, 2 shuttle disasters, Concorde scrapped. Do we have The Right Stuff anymore? Waspie_Dwarf Posted July 24, 2013 Author #9 Share Posted July 24, 2013 Do we have The Right Stuff anymore? If you want to know if we have the right stuff watch the ISS go overhead and remember it contains a crew of six from all around the world. Now ask if we are electing politicians with the right stuff and you might get a totally different answer.
