Strange rolling force felt moving over body

11 posts in this topic

When I was a teenager I had a friend over to spend the night. After watching TV for a few hours we turned it off to go to sleep. I was in bed and he was on the floor next to my bed. As i was looking into my closet that was open I noticed that everything inside of it started to shake slightly. It stopped after a few seconds and a few seconds later everything on the nightstand next to my bed started to shake and, again, stopped. After about two more seconds I could feel what is best described as a slow moving rolling force start to move over the top of my body. I could not feel it under me but only on top of like it was gently rolling over my skin. It was not very wide, maybe three inches. Once I felt this I said aloud, "That's not possible", and my friend replied, "What"? Thinking that he wouldn't believe me I simply said, "nothing". A few seconds after it rolled over me I hear my friend next to me almost yell, "What the **** is that" and then we both hear my window shake as it leaves the room. After talking to my friend it was obvious that he felt the exact same thing that I did.

I have looked into it some and the only explanation I could come up with is that it was a slow moving rolling earthquake but I don't see how both of us could get the sensation that it was only moving over us when quakes come from the ground. I would like to know if anyone can think of a rational explanation for this or has experienced it themselves.

I would have said muscle spasm, but the fact that both of you felt it, that's off the table.

Did it feel as if something was pressing hard and rolling on your skin? Or was it just a sensation as if something was just sitting on your skin and started to rolling in a direction?

And if I may ask, where did you feel it on your body?

Maybe it could be static electricity tingling along your body?

It was like something was just sitting on my body; there was very little pressure at all. I could feel it from head to toe as it moved from the right side of me to the left; like a long rope was rolling across me starting with my right arm and ending with my left. A tingling feeling would be another good way to describe it but the reason I used rolling was because of the slow pace that it moved. The strange part for me was the fact that it was able to make objects shake in my room... maybe it could have been some sort of electromagnet force coming from above?

Was there a temperature difference where it touched you?

No, none at all.

Strange, I've felt something similar but no shaking objects were involved, it was like a staticy thing was caressing my hair and I totally freaked. Thinking it was my imagination I went back to texting but it started again and instead of fighting it I stayed very still. It went from static to a full human hand gently caressing my head

interesting..

I recall having a similar experience some years ago.. It felt odd, rolling, like a pipe/rope/large chord was invisibly passing over me.. There was a liveliness about it, as though this invisible touch was alive and unaware of me like a blind eel, lol.. your post has reminded me of it..

The fact that your friend also felt it makes this a very unique experience..

Usually posts like this usually come down to vibrations caused by sleep paralysis, but imo this experience you had was something different, yet perhaps related in some way that I'm unaware of.. Part of me thinks there might be a biological natural phenomena explanation to this.. The other part of me perceives that what you both felt was an unusually strong connection or moving vortex between one or two points/people or entities.. tbh, I really don't know for sure, but it's fascinating all the same..

Funnily enough I was going to predict that it went from right to left. It's the same mystery force which acts on aircraft which makes them roll left before losing speed and altitude, leading to a stall and nosedive imv. Unbelievable, right?

Here's an example:

When the pilot lost control, the plane was at about 100 metres in altitude and just short of the runway, the report says.

As the aircraft rolled left and pitched down, it collided with a lamp post, clipped a vehicle and crashed on the busy roadway and burst into flames.

I was going to suggest SP but then you said you called out and I don't think you can vocalize when experiencing SP, and besides that you said your friend felt it to. So that leaves me wondering. When you say it hit the window was the window open at the time?

R4z3rsPar4d0x, The window was closed and the reason i said it was like it was "going through" the window was because to i could hear it shaking gently after my friend yelled out.

Professor_T, that seems like a very good way to describe what I felt. I can't think of another word to use other than rolling but that only gives a general idea and is the best one I can think of. Did you see any objects shaking around you when you felt this?
