New teeth grown from urine - study

Still Waters

Recommended Posts

Scientists have grown rudimentary teeth out of the most unlikely of sources, human urine.

The results, published in Cell Regeneration Journal, showed that urine could be used as a source of stem cells that in turn could be grown into tiny tooth-like structures.

The team from China hopes the technique could be developed into a way of replacing lost teeth.

.

the egyptians used to do it.

and the romans.

the spanish.

the indians.

the british.

the portuguese.

in fact, most people did in ye olde dayes, and their teeth were in better condition than ours, generally speaking (no sugar in their diets, ammonia in their wee), but by the gods, it's to be hoped they chewed mint leaf or cloves or summink after they'd brushed!!
