In both cases, the companies were founded by the fathers of their rather more famous sons, who, in both cases, were the eldest sons. After the war, in both cases, the families who ran the company helped their sons evade justice. And in both cases, the companies are still going strong.

However, if I knew the company history (about helping these monsters evade justice), no, I wouldn't. I also wouldn't buy their products.

Unfortunately, there are many present-day German manufacturing companies which have a bit of a murky past. One of the most famous - Siemens - today, suppliers of a wide range of electrical engineering and electronics-related products and services, supplied electrical parts to concentration camps and death camps from 1933 to 1945. The factories had been created, run and supplied by the SS together with company officials, and were notorious for poor working conditions, where malnutrition and death were common.

Chief among them was Wernher von Braun who used his expertise gained in firing rockets on British cities to design one that went to the moon.

How many people have bought video and music tapes in the past? probably quite a few, and who buys medicines? who welds?. Now, all those various companies admit what they did in the past, some have it on their corporate websites, but I think it best not to mention any by name. However, at least six major firms existing today made poison gas during the war and pretty much most of us buy their products either with their brand name or indirectly. I see this as different to buying a truck from M.A.N, who made Panther tanks, or locomotives from Henschel who made Tigers. I know all these things kill, and I know it is unfeasable for us to boycot the major industrial country in Europe, and I don't suggest that for one moment, and I have no problems with that country at all. It is just that the gas seems different to me, something far beyond making tanks or ammunition or aircraft, that's all normal, the specific uses for the gas were anything but normal.
