Still Waters Posted September 6, 2013 #1 Share Posted September 6, 2013 As the world prepares for Tian Tian to give birth at Edinburgh Zoo, the BBC broadcaster Chris Packham says pandas should be left to die in their natural habitat. “Pandas in the wild are a terrible waste of money,” the presenter of Springwatch tells Mandrake. “It’s ridiculous, but these pandas in Edinburgh are fantastic ambassadors for keeping the zoo industry going, even if their species should be left to die out.” http://www.telegraph...-and-leave.html

Ealdwita Posted September 6, 2013 #3 Share Posted September 6, 2013 As much as I dislike the man, and as much as I hate to say it....I think he has a point. I also believe that if humans continue to destroy wild habitats as fast as they are now, the same decision will have to be made for other species too. Keel M. Posted September 6, 2013 #4 Share Posted September 6, 2013 I'd rather let people die out than animals. People are horrible anyway.
