Is this a step toward perpetual motion?

4 posts in this topic

You tell me. Looks so simple and yet makes sense. I work in an engineering field but I am not a physicist and don't know much about the search for perpetual motion. I know that in theory that if you can attain it...even at a small scale...you have essentially created an endless energy source...maybe tiny energy...but endless.

check this out and tell me if this is on the path or a parlor trick

For one thing, as the ball is rolling at the same speed of the wheel, this would cancel the effect of the ball's weight un-balancing the wheel.
