highdesert50 Posted September 16, 2013 #2 Share Posted September 16, 2013 This is just the sort of stuff that could put auto body shops out of business, make self-healing spacecraft that don't crash in Roswell, and otherwise decimate our throw-away manufacturing processes. Can we afford such innovation?
Parsec Posted September 16, 2013 #3 Share Posted September 16, 2013 Hey, such a material already exists, it's called silly putty! Jokes apart, nice finding! I wonder why they didn't allow us to see how they cut it in two. Why did they edit the video cutting that part out? It would have taken few seconds, so it's not a matter of time. Who knows? boydbartley Posted September 17, 2013 #4 Share Posted September 17, 2013 They did show it being cut.
Shiriki-chan Posted September 17, 2013 #5 Share Posted September 17, 2013 At that point, they switched the razor blade out for their pocket sized light saber. We aren't supposed to know about that!
