Retired CIA Spy Says Roswell UFO Incident Real

Ground Report’s Robert Tilford states, “Chase Brandon, a well respected 25-year Central Intelligence Agency veteran, claims the UFO crash at Roswell was real.”

Brandon served as a spy and undercover covert operations officer in the CIA’s infamous Clandestine Service for 25 years and claims the CIA has information on the Roswell UFO incident that proves “it’s real” and happened exactly the way it was first reported when the Army announced it had captured a UFO back in 1947.

He claims the information is housed in a special section of CIA headquarters at Langley, Virginia, called the Historical Intelligence Collection room.

“It was a vaulted area and not everybody could get in it,” Brandon told the Huffington Post recently, “One day, I was looking around in there and reading some of the titles that were mostly hand-scribbled summations of what was in the boxes. And there was one box that really caught my eye. It had one word on it: Roswell”, he said.

“I took the box down, lifted the lid up, rummaged around inside it, put the box back on the shelf and said, ‘My god, it really happened!”

“Some written material and some photographs, and that’s all I will ever say to anybody about the contents of that box,” he said.

“But it absolutely, for me, was the single validating moment that everything I had believed, and knew that so many other people believed had happened, truly was what occurred” ‘It was a craft that did not come from this planet’

Was his "research" published anywhere? I thought I was totally up all the latest UFO news in the late 70's so Incident at Roswell was a total shock.

The only place I know for sure it was used (although he wasn't credited for it) was Incident at Roswell. Other than that, elements of it could probably be anywhere Friedman left a paw print.

No worries. I got a giggle out of the idea that the town of Roswell had it's own Army let alone Air Force. Considering some of the folks that head there, they may need them, come to think of it.

Wise move! When people reveal what they have claimed to have discovered, that's when their stories fall apart. And for God's sake don't say when you were in there. Just say "one day".

Darn, why do they keep leaving evidence of conspiracies in labeled boxes? Did he see the one labeled "Watergate"?

So a respected CIA agent was snooping in files and told the Huff Post all about it? Pity he could not produce the file but as he is respected and all (except for the snooping part) we can take him at his word. No problem.

That's the catch -- he didn't say anything about it, only that he believes it "was a craft that did not come from this planet". He may have seen photos of the balloon wreckage and come to this false conclusion.

Those balloons were huge. Way bigger than weather balloons. They pulled a long train of equipment up with them. Seeing that much material might be a little confusing if you did not know what it was.

So now we have Brandon entering what he said is called Historical Intelligence Collection which is a vaulted area (meaning it is like a bank vault) and that not everyone can get into it. He said he was just wandering around in there, reading the handwritten labels when one caught his eye. According to him, there was but a single word. Roswell.

Crapola, I say.

Why in the hell would they label this box of significant history with a word that, until recently was the name of a Civil War officer and the name of a couple of towns (not to mention Maggie Roswell of The Simpsons fame)?

And, of course, in this box was everything to tell him that it was an alien craft and not one of the super duper secret balloons that had an intelligence function. Nope, there were photographs and documents that proved this was an alien craft.

Of course he has nothing to back up his statement on this except he is reported to have served as a covert operations officer in the CIA’s Clandestine Service for 25 years, and spent his last 10 years as the agency's official liaison to the entertainment and publication industries (which is a real hint). I suppose if you work in the director’s office you have the authority to poke around just about anywhere, even if you are only the liaison to the entertainment industry.

The question that springs to mind is where was this guy ten years or twenty years ago? How come the GAO couldn’t find him to talk to him and how come the GAO didn’t get to look in the Historical Intelligence Collection as they searched for documentation about the Roswell case? Does this mean that the CIA lied to the GAO when they said they had no records about it? Maybe that investigation should be reopened.

The story does provide us with the answer to those questions, however. According to Brandon, he is hawking his science fiction book about alien contact and what happens to Earth when the aliens arrive. Rather than just another first contact book, Brandon now has a hook that will get people talking. He is writing with his knowledge of a real event because he saw a box marked, “Roswell.” Maybe some of this classified stuff made it into the book.

And nope. I do not believe his tale. Just as I didn’t believe Philip Corso’s tale when approached by others as Corso was peddling his book. Sometimes you have to see behind the scenes. This is a case where the veil is nearly transparent. Brandon wants you to buy his book… and though I do read science fiction, I won’t buy this one.
