Kaa-Tzik Posted October 4, 2013 Author #3 Share Posted October 4, 2013 I remember him and had to contend with his strategy. A winner. And proof of the saying never to underestimate your enemy. The writing was written on the wall at Port Arthur, then Tsushima, and I think it is still ignored even after Pearl Harbor, Singapore and Vietnam. Big Bad Voodoo Posted October 4, 2013 #4 Share Posted October 4, 2013 Mastermind. Dont know any military school that dont study his strategy and tactics. Especially when he bring cannons on hill at battle for Indochina. He should be Guerilla legend. Not Che.

+and-then Posted October 5, 2013 #8 Share Posted October 5, 2013 The U.S. forces in South Vietnam won every battle but lost the war. The real lesson we should learn from him is that unless you are willing to do ANYTHING to win, don't start a war.
Big Bad Voodoo Posted October 5, 2013 #9 Share Posted October 5, 2013 The U.S. forces in South Vietnam won every battle but lost the war. His major win was over French Foreign Legion. In his masterpiece battle he smashed Algerians, Maroccoans, French.
Rafterman Posted October 5, 2013 #10 Share Posted October 5, 2013 The U.S. forces in South Vietnam won every battle but lost the war. The good General had a lot of help in the good old US of A. One of his major allies even ran for President and is now the Secretary of State.
Bavarian Raven Posted October 6, 2013 #11 Share Posted October 6, 2013 The real lesson we should learn from him is that unless you are willing to do ANYTHING to win, don't start a war. ^ this. So this. Hence why post Korea... (unless its a quick, in and out "war", the US and her allies get 'bogged down' and don't really win...).
