Unknown cause of death - help us with input.

6 posts in this topic

A couple of years ago in our town we recall a boy we used to visit the same school with. He turned out to have been insessantly bullying another student, who happened to have been mentally unstable. On his final day, he (the student we knew, and happened to be close to) was killed. His victim had confronted him in a violent manner and without warning proceeded to wrap his legs around the throat of this student. According to news reports, this student was held in such a position for five to ten minutes, with him dying / falling unconscious at around 5. At the time he was wearing a white polyester short-sleeved T-Shirt, so his skin was openly exposed to the air (and hence one would suggest that it would have been easy for him to breathe). We'd just like to know the cause of death in this situation. We initially thought suffocation, but then we recalled the diffusion of oxygen through the pores in the skin - which, when clogged, result in hypoxia. It's fair to suggest that some if not most of essential oxygen is taken up from the skin which is semi permeable. Holding the neck wouldn't kill in less than a few hours.

Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaamn

that's a lot of stupid.

you cannot breath through your skin. Kid got put in a triangle hold, and died. Might want to focus more on the guy holding another boy's head between his legs for 10 minutes. Seems like the issue could have been sexually motivated.

I would hazard a guess that the kid died from suffocation- he was choked to death.

People need to pay attention to this, put someone in a hold and yes they are really going to die at the 5 min mark. ugh.

That part didn't make any sense.

Your word of the day is 'respitory'.

Is this another joke thread?

Humans do not breathe through their skin, they are not amphibians.
