Parallel Realities

Live spontaneously from moment to moment, being fully present, without any expectations whatsoever, because the present moment is all that is. You are not the same person from moment to moment. You are not the ‘you’ that was here a moment ago, literally. You are always shifting through multiple realities as if they were side by side, this is why they call them ‘parallel’ realities.

“Nothing has happened in the past; it happened in the Now. Nothing will ever happen in the future; it will happen in the Now.” – Eckhart Tolle.

We shift through these ‘Nows’ creating movement and time in our 3d reality. Parallel realities are absolutely frozen ‘Nows’, completely still frames that we are shifting through very fast. This can be understood by comparing it to a film reel, all the frames are still and the reel spins fast across the projection light onto a screen it creates the appearance of movement on the screen, all the ‘slides’ are completely still though. There are endless parallel realities like ‘slides’ in infinite directions. Anything you can imagine is a possibility. All are laid out like as if on a table in front of you. You put them all together into the sequence that you are experiencing as your ‘perspective’; it seems fluid but is not. Parallel realities going from one to the next is what creates the illusion of time that we all experience. According to Bashar you shift through billions of parallel realities per second. Whatever slide your consciousness focuses in on is your experience of the now. You are always shifting, it’s actually impossible to not shift, even if you are perfectly still you are still shifting through parallel realities. You don’t have to try to shift, it’s how you appear to walk across the room, by shifting through the realities like a film rolling. The shifting is how you progress from one moment to the next, shifting through ever new nows. What you shift to depends on your beliefs about yourself and the world.

I hear ya. I once set my universe projector to rewind and all I got were silly images running backwards and a bunch of unintelligible squeaking sounds. Ah well, so much for time travel to the past.

I have taken a legal substance before (not illegal drugs) which gave me an insight into how multiple realities work. When we walk down the street every now and again our attention is drawn to something. For a split moment we might completely focus on a passing car, a pretty bird or fella (if you're woman), etc. Its the process of your attention being momentarily drawn to something which changes the reality you're living in. Of course this focusing can happen anywhere it doesnt have to be when you're walking down the street.

While a lot of your reality will appear identical there will be some subtle changes.

Very true, and a good way to understand life. I think the best way to live in the now is to live spontaneously, not to live by thought. Thought is important in some areas of life, but when we live totally through thought we live in our heads and not in the real world. We ignore the now that is the only reality. We become ghosts living in an imaginary world.

To be spontaneous is to trust ourselves and to learn who we really are. When we realize the now happens spontaneously as well, we become closer to merging with the world as it actually is.

With every choice we make we choose an alternate reality for us and for others. In this sense, we create the world around us. Would be nice if we all create better worlds than the worlds before our choices.

Well trying to live anyplace but the present is not a good idea. The past holds us back, the future scares us.

Perhaps when we dream we catch reflections of our lives in parallel realities before they dissipate away. If this reality is only one perspective it is no more important than any other Could it not be that this life is the reflection of things as they could or aught to have been suggested by our pasts. If it is only the now that is real then it is a pale reflection of something gone but for others is maybe undiminished somewhere.

Does adding up all the pasts equal the present?

There appears to be about 7 billion parallel realities right now, and that's just counting people. I wonder sometimes how similar, or different each of us is. Do we all experience the world in very much the same ways? Probably i guess. But some people really make me wonder.. including me!

in the time of the greeks... the soul was a cook fire . in the age of clock work machines , it was a grand mechaniism.

its been the feilds of dreams to the farmers , and the great office building of great enterprise to corprate giants.

to make reality a movie is so predictable .

to make it the internet of the matrix is comical.

the now moment is the interface... you effect and are effected ... these are the two propertys of space aand of the other dimension time.

because you do not see eternity as a thing seprate and diffrent than infinite space... you are blind to the reality... this is an intercaes between two dinesions...

and that your ordering system of awareness... is a dimension as well.

awareness is a transdimensional condition ....

resulting from the interface of time/space... with the intermix ratio of E=Mcc.... awareness is a finite quality of the base measurement system called reality... of the infinite quality called god.....

your personal awareness is the finite quality of a dimension .

What about the parallel realities that could have existed for you but didn't because of your choices or circumstance? They're sort of like the collapse of the wave function in quantum mechanics.

"I dream of all the plays that Shakespeare could have written but didn't" sort of thing. Do all these parallel worlds exist, even the ones we never lived?

Does this mean all these people: Bruce Lee, James Dean, Rudolph Valentino, Marilyn Monroe, Jane Mansfield, John Lennon, Elvis, Hendrix, Joplin, Morrison, Mercury, Randy Rhoads, Hartman, River Phoenix, JFK, LHO, MLK jr., RFK, SRV, Bon Scott, etc.

did not die young in some parallel universe, but lived to old age?

My understanding of the OP is that, when we we have a choice between "A"and "B", both choices are like parallel universes set out before us. If we choose "A", that opens up a universe for us that is a different universe than if we had chosen "B".

There are many parallel universes (or choices) that lie before us, all potentially real for us. When we choose to go down one road instead of another, we experience the environment of that road and not the the environment of the other road.

This environment we experience becomes the universe we live in. The road not chosen is still real, is still there, but it is outside of our chosen environment/universe.

Just saying.

But none of the people I posted had a choice to live or die; most died in car accidents; neither did Princess Diana, or Grace Kelly, or JFK jr., or 9/11, or Pearl Harbor.

James Dean and Jane Mansfield did not "choose" car accident over live to 94 not 24 and 34.

Again, in a parallel universe did James Dean, Marilyn Monroe, Hendrix live to old age, and how do we know? Or maybe Hitler was killed in WWI, and Lee H.Oswald missed, etc.

The way I understand the multiple parallel universe idea is that each time the universe has to make a "quantum decision," what it does is create new universes for each possible decision it could make, the number involved depending on the probabilities. Hence if the chance of a given event is one in a hundred, then there are a hundred possible outcomes (one for the event and 99 for the event not happening) and so 99 new universes.

Keep in mind every atom in the entire universe is constantly making these quantum decisions millions of times a second (actually the time frame is the "Plank time" which is, shall we say, a good deal shorter than a second).

The end result is that if this idea is correct the universe is exploding in infinities of essentially identical universes (each differing from all the others by at most just one atom). It seems to me therefore that no many how many universes you traverse, they are all going to have the same properties. You would have to traverse near-infinities of universes to find even the slightest differences.
