Arctic mystery fish identified

6 posts in this topic

A University of Windsor researcher has identified a strange fish caught recently in Nunavut waters.

Nigel Hussey, a researcher who works with the Ocean Tracking Network, says the fish some speculated was a goblin shark is actually the mysterious "long-nosed chimaera" - mysterious because they're rarely caught.

Hope they are not as rare as they think they are and that there are lots more deep down, and thats the best place for them.

If everyone murdered ever creature they found because they did not know what it was, even more creatures will become extinct.

Unlike the old days, we now have camera phones, take a video or picture of it and put it back where it belongs......in the sea and not on some metal slab.
