Never heard of this before so I looked it up. Found this.

Some one who was shipwrecked off the coast and survived maybe? The link doesn't say what happened to her but it does say she was seen in several places.

Also led me to this story which is considered a Japanese fairy tale.

I dont think exploring a 'legend' from 200 years ago will be productive at all. And 'round boats' were common at one time

I would think it's more to do with being as we were meant to be rather than a sharpening of wits. The human race needs to integrate with it's natural religious purposes and play it's part with the rest of creation.

I found about this story on one youtube channel. I guess we'll never know if it's a myth or a beautiful girl really appeared in 1803.

And these Hieroglyhs are very interesting!
