keninsc Posted December 13, 2013 #26 Share Posted December 13, 2013 I was going to say that as soon as I saw it it looked like a cuttlefish to me, although I've not seen them glow like that before.
ZaraKitty Posted December 13, 2013 #27 Share Posted December 13, 2013 Does anyone have any links to bio luminescent documentaries? I can't even describe the feeling I get when I look at them, I want more!

settlingtheworld Posted December 17, 2013 #31 Share Posted December 17, 2013 Possibly post #14 you havn´t encountered before. That's obviously disinformation saying that a new terrestrial alien species is a television publicity stunt.

Bramley Posted January 1, 2014 #33 Share Posted January 1, 2014 Even if its fake, still looks interesting. If its not, and some deep sea gelly fish got lost. Well, its one for the archives. If its a piece of local fakery well done I say.
Simbi Laveau Posted January 1, 2014 #34 Share Posted January 1, 2014 It's very bright. Seems artificial. I made a post about the Japanese firefly squid a while back. Theyre not half this bright

Bramley Posted January 1, 2014 #36 Share Posted January 1, 2014 (edited) http://www.unexplain...+firefly +squid Never seen that before. Sureal in the extreme. Can't imagine tucking into something that visually imopressive. Would be like buying vacum packed parrots at TESCO. Hope the Bristol thing is fake. There should be more strange whimsy about the place. Edited January 1, 2014 by Bramley
Simbi Laveau Posted January 3, 2014 #37 Share Posted January 3, 2014 (edited) It's wwwaayyyyy too bright. Bioluminescent animals do not illuminate the water around them, quite that brightly. They look like LED lights to me. It also didn't seem to move. If it had tenticles, they seemed to just remain motionless. I call shenanigans. I'm not convinced Edited January 3, 2014 by Simbi Laveau

Wyverna Posted January 8, 2014 #40 Share Posted January 8, 2014 Sorry everyone, I've just found this - http://www.telegraph...s-PR-stunt.html So, it's a hoax. Guess it goes to show that you shouldn't entirely believe so readily in a story like this one. It is pretty though. It would be cool if it was an unknown creature.
