Boy,9,climbs highest mountain in the Americas

A nine-year-old boy from the United States has become the youngest person to reach the summit of Aconcagua, the highest mountain in the Americas.

Tyler Armstrong climbed the mountain, in the Argentine Andes, with his father and Tibetan sherpa Lhawang Dhondup.

I heard that on the news just now as I'm typing this! Yes, it is very cool. Must've taken *years* of climbing and training! I'm proud of him!

He did it to help raise money for muscular dystrophy research too, so good for him :tu:
