Rare Kamikaze aircraft to go on display

A rare surviving Kamikaze aircraft seized by the British at the end of World War II is to go on display for the first time.

The Yokosuka MXY7 Ohka, which would have been flown by Japanese suicide bombers, is to form part of an exhibition at the Fleet Air Arm Museum.

The 'other three' Okhas are on display in the RAF museum at RAF Cosford, the Museum of Science and Industry Manchester, and the Imperial War Museum Duxford.

The V1 by quite a while....First flew 10th.December 1941. The MXY7....(powered)....November 1944.

What is it with flying bombs and 'cherries'....? Okhra means 'Cherry blossom' and the V1's original code name was Kirshkem..(Cherry stone).

Hitler renamed them "Vengeance" weapons.

Also they would have been knocked around in their cockpit if they were doing hi-G maneuvers.

Very cool find jet powered also. They got jet technogly from the germans.i don't think they used these in combat the war was over Japan also had a jet powered plane that looked like the Me 262.
