Military chasing UFOs?

Witnesses in Missouri and California reporting separate events on February 11, 2014, both describe helicopters chasing UFOs, according to testimony today in cases 54029 and 54034 from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

A Missouri witness in Lone Jack was watching television at 6:01 p.m. Central Time, February 11, 2014, when the sound of a "loud helicopter thundering" overhead was heard. He immediately moved to a window facing south and looked outside.

Nice picture, although, given the performance commonly attributed to UFOs, why would they attempt to chose them with helicopters or Choppers? Surely any UFO that lets itself be tailed by a helicopter would want to be followed.

Who knows. They wouldn't launch fighter planes to follow something that low and over residential areas. Not that they could match their agility and speed either.

But where is the UFO?

So any actual photographic evidence of MILITARY choppers chasing UFO's or is this all 'me and my buddy Ted were out in the woods when we say a light and some choppers and it was obviously the military escorting their Gray masters back to the base of course'?

I think that's just a librarary picture.

Would it matter? It would just be poo-pooed as fake, whether it was or not.

Why wouldn't the military chase UFO's? It is a rather large part of what they are there for, after all; identifying unknown flying objects definitely falls under the mandate to protect national airspace.

Which is not to say that they are always chasing things that are unidentified, flying, or even objects.

I've already told the story before of how one of our pilots in a dogfighting drill claimed to be attempting to lock on to his target who he had a visual on directly in front of him. He was quite confused when he was told his target was on radar behind him. A post-flight investigation found that he had been attempting to lock on to Venus.

We also have the Mexican Air Force UFO event, where FLIR cameras captured what seemed to be a group of craft flying in tandem, but which turned out to be oil rigs off in the distance.

Kinda of a strange way to put it, then the same would go for videos, then if eyewitness testimony can also never be trusted due to hindsight bias and other related mental concepts, nothing can really be proven until it's witnessed or caught on photo/camera at the same time as a huge number of people, like a city.

From the article:

"The helicopter did have its search light on so I'm guessing that's what the light was. So when I looked up I didn't even see

the helicopter at first - all I saw was a bright white orb and then the helicopter. That's how low the two were. I viewed the

helicopter chasing the orb (orb made no noise)"

Helicopter/search light/search light spot reflection in the clouds.

There is nothing strange here.

And, yeah, MUFON.

I am a total believer in UFO's as I have witnessed them myself. I also believe that there are other worlds out there that have alien beings who have far more superior intelligence that us (homo sapiens).

Great picture btw, but to me it looks like the moon with a haze surrounding it.

It also makes me wonder, what the heck a helicopter would do if it had actually caught up with it lol....

To me it looks like a CG image.

Where do you begin with a story like this? First, we have names of states and towns but no witness names. We are told helicopters (black ones no less) were chasing UFOs. I am not sure what all that means but it is just enough information told in the right way to lead the reader to all kinds of conclusions. There are no facts in this story, merely UFO fantasy validation.

Just because MUFON publishes the reports does not mean they endorse the stories nor does it mean there was not a mundane explanation.

Well the title just has to be wrong, as the Colonel originally pointed out, a Helicopter is not going to be capable of "Chasing" something with rocket abilities to fly through space.

I would suggest perhaps this was Military Helicopters chasing Military Helicopters?

I know, wild and far out, hardly believable, but can it be discounted................

We aren't the only country with drones. Perhaps they are carrying out some anti-drone drills.

I was thinking something similar myself.Does it seems unlikely unlikely to anybody else that you have witnesses in 2 states yet no photographic evidence?

How about helicopters escorting a new flying experimental device UHFO ? Where H stands for human.

The choppers were probably just escorting a new piece of tech from one place to another. Choppers are often used for that sort of duty because they also come with a number of soldiers in said chopper, in case something happens and the craft goes down, and they need to cordon off the area ASAP. You can't exactly land a jet in the middle of a field with the pilots keeping people away.

And don't be fooled by the "black military attack helicopter". That's just civilian talk for "I don't know what the **** I'm looking at". I can't count how many times I was in a LAV and civies kept calling it a tank.

  • 3 weeks later...
Multiple reports of military helicopters "chasing UFOs" in the Anaheim, CA, area throughout February 2014, appear to be a combination of military training exercises and man-made sky lanterns, according to a March 4, 2014, statement by Cinde Costello, Southern California Chief Investigator for the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON).

Witnesses in and around Anaheim have been filing UFO reports with MUFON in February and March 2014 detailing how it appeared that helicopters were following orbs of light or a sphere-shaped object.

Costello has been following these reports closely and points out that the area has a high degree of regular, normal military activity to begin with - including almost constant military air training from the Camp Pendleton base.

Now that's funny - if anyone else had said "Chinese lanterns" the believers wouldn't buy it for a second. But since MUFON said it...unless...they're in on the whole cover up.

I also have to chuckle at the first guy talking about "black helicopters" (dum da dum dum). His sighting took place after sunset - guess what color dark green helicopters look like at night. Yep, BLACK.

Not to mention, Lone Jack is only about 35 miles from Whiteman Air Force Base which is where the Missouri National Guard's 1-135th attack reconnaissance battalion is headquartered. Guess what they fly - Apache Longbow attack helicopters. The air force also flies A-10 Thunderbolts and B-2 stealth bombers otu of Whiteman. I'm sure the skies are pretty busy there 24 hours a day.
