+susieice Posted February 16, 2014 #1 Share Posted February 16, 2014 (edited) A witness to 3 Presidental assassinations, Robert Todd Lincoln refused to attend anymore affairs for fear he would see a 4th. It is thought his presence was requested because both Garfield and McKinley had dreams of their deaths and wanted to discuss them with Lincoln's son as he had also had premonitions of his death. We know the Lincolns were fascinated by the paranormal while in the White House, especially Mary Todd as she was obsessed with contacting her deceased children, but it seems the supernatural may have followed the surviving son for the rest of his life. http://voices.yahoo....ial-755069.html http://mentalfloss.c...sidential-death Here is a picture of Robert Todd in 1901 when he relented and was in the presence of President William Howard Taft. On the right in the pic, the expression on his face says it all. Kind of looks like he just wants out! Having a hard time uploading just one. Here's the site where the pics are. https://www.google.com/search?q=robert+todd+lincoln+with+president+taft&espv=210&es_sm=93&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ei=sxABU66VNeLcyQH784H4CA&ved=0CCYQsAQ&biw=1280&bih=905 Edited February 16, 2014 by susieice

+susieice Posted February 16, 2014 Author #3 Share Posted February 16, 2014 (edited) Oddly, Edwin Booth, brother of John Wilkes, would save the life of the only child Mary Todd and Abraham had that survived to adulthood. The year before Lincoln's assassination, Robert Todd would almost fall off a train platform and was pulled back by Edwin. http://www.historynet.com/edwin-booth Is this a story of numerous coincidences or are some people just born to fulfill a destiny?
