Arcana Posted March 22, 2014 #1 Share Posted March 22, 2014 (edited) The Valley of Forgotten Dreams There is a place that's far away Where abandoned dreams descend to lay With towering cliffs and cloudy skies That echo with abandoned sighs Where dreams are shed to wash away In streams that flow towards dismay Cast aside when no longer aspired Left to languish withered and tired Forever Autumn is this land Where decaying hopes all turn to sand Spiraling down like falling leaves As doubt replaces where dream believes Then scattered forth on forlorn winds Howling where desire rescinds Lost in mists too dense to see Banished from thoughts to ever be There sadness weeps upon the ground In tearful surrender as dreams are drowned Under cloudy skies of disbelief Dull and grey with hopeless grief This valley is hidden and hard to find Like dreams that dwell within a mind Hold onto them whilst asleep or awake And never let go for pity's sake Dreams must be followed wherever they go With relentless pursuit wherever they flow When all appears lost or so it seems Beware the valley of forgotten dreams © Arcana Edited March 23, 2014 by Still Waters Text edited at OP's request 6 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
