'Pop-Tart' bill

A bill that would let Florida schoolchildren bite Pop-Tarts into the shape of guns has cleared the state House of Representatives and is making its way through the Senate.

The so-called "Pop-Tart bill," formally known as HB 7029, would keep schoolchildren from being penalized for simulating firearms with their fingers, a piece of paper or a pastry, the Orlando Sentinel reported.

A pastry? Yes, the Sentinel said, the legislation specifically references pastries and other foods.

The sad part is apparently we DO need laws like this, to help rein in the out of control - lack of commons sense - mind set that punishes kids for being kids...

We need a bill for this????

For the same reason we have so many stupid warning labels on products. There is a precedent with too many people unable to use common sense.

Sometimes it does seem like a waste of time to try and save some people from themselves. If they would only leave others out of it by not suing or causing harm with collateral damage.

I was about to say its sad we need to even make a bill like this. It was just a little kid he never should of got in so much trouble ffs

But as I can see everyone already beat me to it. lol
