Still Waters Posted April 5, 2014 #1 Share Posted April 5, 2014 A robotic mannequin that can run, sit and even mimic the movement of a soldier has been unveiled by the Ministry of Defence. The £1.1m robot - developed using Formula 1 technology - will test protective suits and equipment. The "Porton Man" has more than 100 sensors over its body to record data during tests. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-26892771
freetoroam Posted April 5, 2014 #2 Share Posted April 5, 2014 How much!!!!???? £1.1m for one robot? and how many do they intend to make? How about focusing more on peace instead of wars and spending the money to get rid of all the worlds nukes.....but we know that will never happen. Developers said it would help them create the next generation of protective equipment. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-26892771 Obviously they are expecting many more wars or attacks in the future.
