+OverSword Posted April 18, 2014 #1 Share Posted April 18, 2014 From the article: A South Carolina man who walked into a Walmart wearing nothing but his shoes said he went "crazy" after getting his hands on the wrong drugs. “I’ve had a problem with drugs in the past. I still like to do ecstasy once in a while,” Kevin Hughes told WSOC-TV. “I accidentally got methamphetamine instead and it really made me crazy.” Hughes, 36, said that he remembers going to sleep at his sister's house Thursday. The next thing he recalled was waking up in his truck in the parking lot of a Tega Cay Walmart. Hughes told a reporter that he only realized he was naked once he ventured into the store. When police arrived, he reportedly told them he was looking to buy some clothes, according to WGHP. He was escorted out by police, who found some shorts in Hughes' truck and took him to jail. He spent the night locked up on a disorderly conduct charge and bonded out the next day. Hughes said he is embarrassed by the incident and will probably move to a different town. "I’m sorry. It was an accident. It wasn’t something I intended to do,” Hughes said. "I can't face anybody that I know here anymore." There is a video interview with the man on the page. I feel sorry for this guy actually as I know there are many of us out there that ocassionally fall off the wagon Article here

+OverSword Posted April 18, 2014 Author #5 Share Posted April 18, 2014 I notice that a mod changed the title which makes it misleading. He didn't go to walmart get a prescription and get naked, he thought he was buying ecstasy but was sold meth instead. Don't buy drugs off the street people. Or better yet don't do them at all.
Lilly Posted April 18, 2014 #6 Share Posted April 18, 2014 My advice to this guy: 1) Check into rehab and get clean and stay clean. 2) Change your name and move to another city. 3) Never/ever do street drugs again.

DecoNoir Posted April 18, 2014 #8 Share Posted April 18, 2014 I've seen more than my fair share of naked/near naked people at Walmart... they weren't on drugs. I really think it's those "low low prices", like waving a lamb leg in front of a gator.
Lilly Posted April 18, 2014 #9 Share Posted April 18, 2014 Say what DecoNoir? "Low low prices" attract naked people? Exactly how does that work?
DecoNoir Posted April 18, 2014 #10 Share Posted April 18, 2014 Say what DecoNoir? "Low low prices" attract naked people? Exactly how does that work? Yeah, reading that it sound like that, haha! What I mean is, I come from a, not particularly prosperous, area. So you can very well imagine we don't get guys in Armani suits shopping at Walmart. More often than not it seems that the store is a "Pants Optional" area. Catch my drift?

Not wearing the Armani suits seems quite reasonable...but going out in public 'buck naked' seems a bit much. I guess I must be getting really old, back when I was young shopping naked would have resulted in being arrested for 'indecent exposure'.

eaglesareskykittens Posted April 19, 2014 #19 Share Posted April 19, 2014 You know as someone who lives in South Carolina, I can't say that I'm all that surprised. Isn't great to be able to take such pride in your state?
Lilly Posted April 19, 2014 #20 Share Posted April 19, 2014 fixed ~ ~ Yes, 'survivor' does apply nicely. I actually knew a girl who fell off her platforms and broke her ankle.
