Fish rain down on Sri Lanka village

10 posts in this topic

Villagers in west Sri Lanka have said they have been surprised and delighted by an unusual rainfall of small fish.

The edible fish fell during a storm and are believed to have been lifted out of a river during a strong wind.

They get some wild weather down in that region. I wonder if events like this are really that rare, or if it's just rare that they happen in populated areas and get noticed? In the midwest a tornado will empty an entire runoff pond as it passes over and send everything in it up into the air. People a mile or two away will find fish on the ground. But not hundreds of them, usually.

If one is allergic to seafood, they would be in living hell. Haha.
