Rare monoamniotic twins born holding hands

On Friday, Sarah gave birth to Jenna and Jillian, identical twins who shared the same amniotic sac and placenta, after 57 days on bed rest and monitoring at Akron General Medical Center.

The twins were monoamniotic twins - also called mo-mo or mono mono twins - a rare occurrence, which happens in about 1 in 10,000 pregnancies and 1 to 5 percent of all twins...

That's awesome! Twins are generally born a few minutes apart. With this rare occurence their holding of hands, those little girls were ready to face a new life together at the same time. :)
