Still Waters Posted June 8, 2014 #1 Share Posted June 8, 2014 Just when you think you have heard it all - a Queensland cafe has added take-home coffee enemas to its menu. And while they're not everyone's cup of tea, staff have already sold 140 of the DIY kits. Forget milk and sugar, the alternative-healing way to take your coffee is with a tube, bucket and coffee watered-down with purified water. http://www.dailymail...-walk-park.html

freetoroam Posted June 8, 2014 #5 Share Posted June 8, 2014 (edited) Coffee enemas are considered unsafe and should be avoided. Rare but serious adverse events like septicemia (bacteria in the bloodstream), rectal perforation, andelectrolyte abnormalities have been caused by coffee enemas. Deaths from the administration of coffee enemas have been reported. There is no credible evidence to suggest that coffee enemas can help with insomnia and cognitive problems. In fact, caffeine is absorbed by the colon when coffee is administered as an enema, so it is a poor option for insomnia. The idea that you are are contaminated withparasites or candida are just that – ideas. While alternative practitioners believe these conditions are widespread in the population, there is no scientific evidence to suggest this. There is no reason to treat conditions which do not exist. http://www.scienceba...-coffee-enemas/ Why do some people not do a bit of research before bringing out the cr@p? wonder how much commission she is getting for promoting that book?
