AB-1014 Gun violence restraining orders

The constitution doesn't give us any rights. We are born with them. They are inherent rights found in everyone, not just Americans.

I'll ask this again, incredulously. You really believe that God actually says that you have the right to have a gun? Is that your position?

Do they not teach US Government or Civics in school anymore?

A version of it. In my youngest Sister-In-Laws high school class on Government, they basically told her Democrat = Smart, Good, Helpful, and Republican = Selfish, Greedy, Stupid. And left it at that.

God, whatever creator you believe in, or just being born. We are born with rights. The right to self-defense, the right to free speech, the right to assemble, etc. That is my position. That was our founding fathers position. That is every free mans position. What is your position? Where do you think we get our rights?

Seems that ninjadude thinks our rights are granted by the government in charge. Might work for most 3rd world **** holes and socialist "utopias", but not here.

Still waiting for Ninja to state where he thinks we get our rights.

He's working on his answer, to make it as barely relevant to the discussion, and as wrong as possible.

He's probably busy putting a NO GUN restraining order on you all.

ok I'll play. Just for the sake of argument, how does your "born with" right of self-defense translate into God given rights to guns? And you can't use the 2nd Amendment as a basis. This should be interesting twisted logic.

"God given" in a constitutional sense is clearly referring to a natural ability. The natural ability to defend one's self is tied into 'meeting force with force'. How would you defend yourself against someone with a firearm?

You can start by answering my question: Where do you think we get our rights?

I answered you question, kindly show me the same courtesy and answer mine. We can go from there.

Why so we can be like London where you are 5 times more likely to be murdered then any place in the US with little gun restriction? At least then when criminals murder you, it wont be with a gun, right??

That is not true at all
