Woman keeps 100,000 cockroaches in her home

A woman in China is embracing a regular person's apocalyptic nightmare by welcoming 100,000 cockroaches into her home.

37-year-old Yuan Meixia, of Fujian, uses her rural house as a breeding ground for the bug, where they are fed sugary treats, warmed by a gas-fire stove, and pampered with the loving care you'd give a spoiled dog.

Am wondering who counted them.

They were all numbered.

"The Palmetto cockroaches are popular in some traditional Chinese medicine, and pharmaceutical companies will pay about £75 per kilo for the bugs."

"She drowns them in vats of water, dries them in the sun, then has them shipped to a buyer over 900 km away."

Why am I not surprised?

At least she's not driving dogs to market crammed in basket. Or maybe that's on Thursdays

"These are my children?"

Yikes! I guess that's why she lives alone?

This has to be unhealthy for the woman. |: Have neighbors complained about the cockroaches? I would move outta town or far away from the woman.

I'm sure she's perfectly sane.

Am wondering who counted them.

100,000 one day, 59,000,000 the next.

And when she receives diseases because of her "children", she'll then have China's "excellent" health care to help her.

If she trains them well, they can form a natural shelter around her in the event of a nuclear blast.
