Popular Post ufoscan Posted June 19, 2014 Popular Post #8 Share Posted June 19, 2014 Not so much my opinion as "the facts"... This is a mannequin that was created for a UFO themed pavilion at "Man and his World" in Montreal, Canada. The picture was taken inside the pavilion and many more of these by tourists and local UFO enthusiasts. Somebody in Quebec actually bought that prop and I have seen it "live" at a local UFO symposium some years ago. The original one was made by a local designer by the name of Linda Corriveau. Back in the nineties, some people had the clever idea to publish this picture as that of a genuine alien and, sure enough, it was picked up worldwide without anyone bothering to check the facts... Here is another picture of it taken by a friend of mine at the time. Nice clear crisp colour shot like we like them... http://www.ceticismo...9/11/ufo021.jpg

ufoscan Posted June 19, 2014 #10 Share Posted June 19, 2014 Brilliant post!! Thank you for the information. Thanks ! But let me take this one step further: Here is a very in-depth article by the creator of this mannequin who explains how she created the "Strange World" exhibition and how the mannequin pictures suddenly were being paraded around as real images of a Roswell alien... http://www.slimeworl...nge/ssw001.html http://www.slimeworl...nge/ssw002.html http://www.slimeworl...nge/ssw003.html http://www.slimeworl...nge/ssw004.html http://www.slimeworl...nge/ssw005.html

ufoscan Posted June 19, 2014 #12 Share Posted June 19, 2014 By the way, the man she mentions "Christian Page" is also the person who organized the UFO symposium to which I referred earlier. What Linda does not tell in her story is that at some point, after "Man and his World" closed for good, the city of Montreal (owners of the site) held an auction for all the props from all the pavilions on the site and a local UFO enthusiast bought that "alien" prop, which he still owns to this day. Christian was contacted by that man and that's how they arranged to have it displayed (on stage) at that symposium. Since I visited that pavilion frequently in those days and was also at the Stanton Friedman lecture he gave there, I saw that prop "live" and close-up many times and saw it again at the symposium.

dr no Posted June 19, 2014 #16 Share Posted June 19, 2014 Nice one. You still believe it's all bunk after 30 years? Be honest. I was a staunch believer in the theory that aliens were visiting the planet many years ago but for me the evidence for it is just not there.I do believe there are things in the sky that are as yet unexplained I don't believe they are visitors from other worlds. However I would loved to be proven wrong,I suppose that's why I still find the subject interesting
ufoscan Posted June 19, 2014 #17 Share Posted June 19, 2014 So it is a zipper and not a touch-sensitive magnetic closure device on the jumpsuit? Actually, no ! Even though the mannequin was made on Earth, the space suit is a genuine one imported directly from Zeta Reticuli.
ufoscan Posted June 19, 2014 #18 Share Posted June 19, 2014 You still believe it's all bunk after 30 years? In my case, I have been interested in UFOs since age 6 and I am now 60. I got my first UFO book when I was 8 years old and right then, I thought there was something "wrong" with some of the photographs therein. I definitely believed there were such things as UFOs, but it soon became evident that, in many instances, facts were being distorted to make them more appealing. Descriptions were exaggerated and pictures were faked to make all this more attractive. But I also had several UFO sightings later on. So I have no doubt there is a real unknown phenomenon out there. But after years of seeing so much crap being misrepresented as the "real thing", I feel it my duty to denounce it whenever I come across it. This is why, no, I won't accept fake or misrepresented pictures because I happen to accept the existence of UFOs.

ufoscan Posted June 21, 2014 #21 Share Posted June 21, 2014 I believe some r fake some r real. But all gets debunked/covered up by governments Seems to me that if the pictures are hoaxes or misrepresentations, it's best we find out. The only way to do this is to remain objective and not let our beliefs cloud our judgement.

seeder Posted June 22, 2014 #24 Share Posted June 22, 2014 What's your opinion on this: A real alien? http://www.iwasabduc...oswellmodel.htm This is another classic from zoser once again. An absolute classic self debunk, that is. AGAIN And yet more proof, as if we needed it - that zoser just doesnt read articles. So lets look at just 2 simple things The bloody page...is titled "Roswell Alien Model" Ok that should have been the first clue right there. But it gets even better, because the VERY FIRST bit of text on the website states: Unfortunately, this alien body was not extraterrestrial in origin - It was actually only a model prepared for exhibition! Please note that although some websites may still be promoting the photo below as a genuine alien, they are mistaken. http://www.iwasabducted.com/aliengallery/roswellmodel.htm So, we have a page stating "model" and the very first text clearly states it was a model prepared for exhibition. Yet despite this, he asks for our opinions on whether its real? Get the hell outta here. SOMEBODY PLS... hit him on the head with a mallet
psyche101 Posted June 23, 2014 #25 Share Posted June 23, 2014 I believe some r fake some r real. But all gets debunked/covered up by governments Why do you believe some ET stories are real? Do you find a particular case rivetting, have you had a personal experience or are you swayed by the number of claims people offer? So many say that 5% must be real, but I do not know why people say this without any reason to do so.
