Creepy thing. They should burn it or bury it.

Interesting that they discovered the means of preservation of the body, creepy but cool nontheless.

They need to lay that poor child's body to rest... No one should be on display like this...

Coincidentally, I feel the same basic way about ancient mummies, etc...

God bless you Rosalia Lombardo,

She died in 1920. Shouldn't she be there by now?

Slightly unsettling, though if one is of the "morbid" persuasion they'll see bodies do far more bizarre things. Ever see one recoil on itself do to rigor mortis?

True JGirl,

It's still sad that such a young child's life should be cut so short at such a tender age.

Even today, it's still heart wrenching when innocent children die, no matter what the cause.

Sadly, that's life. :unsure2:

RIP sweet Rosalia.

I had pneumonia as a child and it is very painful. My infant sister (I was 3 at the time) was on her deathbed in the hospital with it. The Doctor called the family in as he said she wouldn't make it through the night. Miraculously she did make it through and survived. My Mom believed that it was the Saint Andrew medals and cloth from his robes pinned to the croup tent that saved her. My sister still has them to this day. She is 57.

Getting back to the little mummy girl, I'm wondering how a trick of light could cause this. I first figured it was the sun traveling across the sky making changes in the light coming through the windows. But there is no change in the light on her. Only her eyes change and nothing else. Perplexing. I wish they would have explained it better.

Not sure if this has been posted anywhere before, if it has I apologise. I just came across this, apparently the case has already been solved but it sure does look creepy.

Good Lord that's creepy.

Funny, but I don't find it creepy. She just looks like a little sleeping girl to me. But I guess maybe I'd change my tune if I was there beside her when when her eyes oppened. :unsure2:

sorry for spooking people lol, as for someones suggestion that it could be the sunlight moving around a room, I don't think so as the mummy is located in a crypt.
