Premonition dream really freaking me out.....

6 posts in this topic

Ok so last night I stayed at a hotel with my partner. We went out to a bar and only went to sleep at about 6am. I was just drifting off to sleep and had a vision about police cars on the motor way, parked on the hard shoulder. In the vision I knew there had been a terrible car crash but didn't actually visualise the cars etc that had crashed. I said to my partner (while half asleep) "there are police on the motorway" , to which he just said "what?" Like I was drunk and talking rubbish, then I said, " there has been a really, really bad crash". The tv was on (music channel) and I told him to turn it off he checked the time on the tv (6.15am) and we both fell back asleep. We woke at around 12 noon and he said , " do you remember telling me about that car crash?" It intrigued me and I decided to see if any crashes had happened on the motorway, I typed in the motorway we traveled on and the first story that came up was about this awful crash involving a car and lorry! It had sadly claimed a life. Fair enough I thought could be a coincidence until I read on. The crash happened at 6.15am! The exact same time I had my vision! My partner is a complete non believer in this type of thing but he was really freaked out, as was I. I had to write on here just to see if this had happened to anyone else. I'm really interested to hear people's opinions on this and if it is possible for this to happen.

Looking forward to hearing from you and thanks for taking the time to read my post x

Yes it can happen. What you experienced is astral projection / remote viewing.

Hi LillyRose.. Welcome to UM..

That's very interesting.. I've had similar.. There's a lot that goes on in the borders of sleep that we don't understand. One can pick up on all sorts of energy in these between states. IMO part of your consciousness was out of body, and yep, in all likelihood part of you knew what was happening..

Thanks for sharing...

Thanks for the replies bLu de 3n3rgy and Professor T. It's very interesting. Can I work on this (would one call it a gift?) or does it just happen to everyone at some point?

Thanks again for the replies x

Yes you can work on it, anyone can. It helps greatly to have already had an experience that has served to liberate your mind from the usual 3d / ego consciousness blocks and programming. There is no body alive today in this world who can escape the work on this aspect, and I would positively say this experience may have served to just help you a bit with that! you now know its possible and its opened a door into another arena and dimension of potentials for you to explore. Something outside of the linear thinking and being process.

Come and join us at the astral FAQs thread, give it a read through and see what resonates with you... its a thread that's been designed to specially function as a library hub to collaborate and allow the sharing of experiences, techniques, and to log personal progression. It also has a running commentary through out- in the form of FAQS. There is a open floor policy for anyone who wants to exchange questions and answers at all levels...

Although all we ask in order to keep it productive, positive and friendly, is that there is no debating on the existence 'of' (the thread strongly assumes the position that anyone taking part is doing so because they have some experiences underbelt or are ready to train and learn how to induce such experiences) we ask that everybody refrains from engaging in any non constructive criticism on other people and their techniques. And to avoid any degenerative tone and discussion such as "who's better than who", or anything to the equivalent such as just because something doesn't work for one person doesn't mean it's crap, 'dangerous' or invalid for everyone else. Rather we encourage people to focus on their own development and take what resonates, ignore what doesn't.

The thread is pinned in the same section as this thread, just above :tu: Or the link is in my sig. Hope it can be of help :)

Wonderful post, I've recently had a precognitive dream that saved my life by allowing me to alter the circumstances in the dream empowering me to avoid the accident. I have an in depth thread on precognition and have studied this phenomena since it started happening to me at 16, now 42 so that's 26 years of experience, exploration and research. http://www.unexplained-mysteries.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=268448

Sadly, I saw a dream where my cousin died with his friend in a pickup truck and told his mom, and my other aunt about it nearly a year before it happened. And very very sadly... it came true. Not something that ever makes me feel good to think about. On a similar note, I had symbolic precognitive dream that involved the suicide of my neighbor and her kids, even the police officer that showed up on scene was the same person from the dream. I had told my x-wife about the dream months before it came true.

On a brighter note though, not all deal with negative events and some are very positive. It's just the circumstances that are either negative or positive. I don't regret having these types of dreams at all, especially now since I'm still here to talk about them as I didn't die which I believe that I would have should the circumstances remained unchanged.

Very powerful and a wonderful part of the human experience.
