Dinner With Death

Eldorado

Recommended Posts

"It was terrifying enough when police this week found skeletal remains in a woman's New York City apartment and learned that they belonged to the tenant's mother. In a twist straight out of a Alfred Hitchcock movie, the New York Post reports that Chava Stirn had been sleeping next to her mother's corpse for three years.

The 28-year-old Brooklyn woman also propped up the remains of her mother, 61-year-old Susie Rosenthal, at the dinner table and dressed her up."

She refused to let anyone inside the apartment, so a relative would sometimes leave food outside her door, the police sources said.

That's no excuse for her relatives to just accept. You'd think they'd be getting a bit worried about the well being of both her and her mother. No contact in three years, they should never have been left that long.

It's hard to let someone go after they pass away but you have to let them go.

Losing a parent is tough but that's just disturbing. I do feel for the woman, though.

The whole propping up thing reminds me of the screwed up twins from The Following.

That's one severe case of attachment disorder. Even stalkers are like "Whoa!".
