Couple find more than a "ghost"

6 posts in this topic

Brian and Bridget O'Neill came home to their Seattle apartment late last Wednesday and were shocked to find it absolutely trashed. Lotion was smeared on the door handles, a can of paint had been dumped into the toilet, the junk mail was ripped open ... it was a mess.

Would you be more scared if your home were trashed by a meth head or a ghost?

Hmmmm:

A:

a meth head with a knife gets into my apartment,

trashes my whole apartment,

rips out about 20 pairs of my shoes,

paint dumped in my toilet

my mail ripped open

electronics piled all over the bed

uses the knife to cut the box springs out from under my bed.

still there 2 hours later..under my bed with a knife when I get home

still suffering from drug-induced paranoia.

B:

a ghost.

(can not give run down on damage as we do not have any evidence to support a ghost, only a skinny meth head)

This is hard, can I answer this one later?

Umm yeahhhh, creepy as hell. I'd take paranormal over a knife wielding meth-head under my bed any day, now if my child ever tells me that he's hearing monsters under his bed i'm going to check with a baseball bat in hand.

Signs of a ghost haunting, as far as folklore goes, includes but not limited to:

- Moving objects around.

- Hearing doors closing, water running, footsteps, etc.

- Activity often found in the attic or basement.

- Children's giggles or laughter.

- Whispers in the ears.

- Sensation of being watched.

- Pressure on chest or end of bed as if someone is sitting.

- Radio or clock dial turning.

- Mist, ectoplasm and other shadowy manifestations caught in corner of eyes.

- Loud bangs, rattles, and noises.

Clearly their symptoms are not of a ghost. It's good to know that I can watch out for signs a knife wielding meth addict is in my home now. Completely two different pathologies.
