danielost Posted July 22, 2014 #1 Share Posted July 22, 2014 Here at the nurseing homehsome of.p us feed the birds. They get bread, toast, and sometimes cake. They prefer the plain bread to the other two choices. The starlings have learned to dunk their bread and toast in water to make t easier to eat. It's fun to watch them eat. The don't come to the courtyard during the heat of the day. Waco is a wintering stop for the starlings. In the winter certain areas of town the power lines are nothing but birds. bubblykiss Posted July 22, 2014 #2 Share Posted July 22, 2014 (edited) When I was a young man I was chased by a swarm of around 2 or 3 thousand parakeets for around most of a full city block. I am positive that they would have sucked out my ocular fluid if they would have caught me. Edited July 22, 2014 by bubblykiss
