Recommended Posts

A man is attempting to push a Brussels sprout up Snowdon with his nose.

Stuart Kettell, from Balsall Common, in the West Midlands, set off at 07:00 BST and hopes to reach the 1,085m (3,560ft) summit in four days.

The 49-year-old, who wants to raise at least £5,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support, will replace the sprouts as they fall apart.

(scratches head) Couldn't he have done something that was actually useful instead of making a spectacle of himself?

the article says that he's raised 40,000 for charity so far, so that's at least a bit useful.

He's raising money for charity, does it matter what he does?

Good on him i say.

I would have picked a better-smelling vegetable.

Say, a tater.

I suggest people watch "Forks Over Knives". There are natural ways to deal with cancer, based on this documentary. It is found on the Canadian Netflix.

This guy needs to be applauded. I know I wouldn't have done this for charity.

But on a humorous note, was the Green Giant consulted before "Sprout" was rolled up hill? It could injure his son. (For those of you old enough to remember the commercials)

It's too early. I read that a man is pushing a sprout up his nose.

It could be he chose such a bizarre thing to do in the hope of attracting more publicity and potential donations for the charity. Who cares really what he does, it's the end result that counts so good luck to him. I've walked up Mount Snowdon, it's quite a hike in parts so he has taken on a difficult challenge in more ways than one.

Well done to him and good luck, but what happens if it cant control it and it falls/ rolls back to the bottom of the mountain?

My first thought was, like his friend said, the sprout will fall apart really quickly. He should have chosen something more hardy, like an artichoke. or a pineapple.

I also thought to myself, "Oh, another crazy Welshman", but then they said he was actually an Englishman.
