Still Waters Posted August 24, 2014 #1 Share Posted August 24, 2014 A whole functional organ has been grown from scratch inside an animal for the first time, say researchers in Scotland. A group of cells developed into a thymus - a critical part of the immune system - when transplanted into mice. The findings, published in Nature Cell Biology, could pave the way to alternatives to organ transplantation. http://www.bbc.co.uk...health-28887087

bubblykiss Posted August 25, 2014 #3 Share Posted August 25, 2014 So how much will it cost in combined total for me to destroy my current liver with standard vodka and Scotch and then get a replacement grown, shipped and slipped into the spot of my now ruined organ? Please say under $2,000?
