Call For E-Cigarettes To Be Banned Indoors

7 posts in this topic

The World Health Organisation is recommending a ban on using e-cigarettes in public indoor spaces over second-hand smoke fears.

In a long-awaited report, the UN health body voiced concern about the control of the $3bn (£1.8bn) market by the traditional "Big Tobacco" giants.

Well in the first place, it is vapor, not smoke.

Having friends who use them, and having sat next to them as they use them, I do not find them offensive. The vapor goes away quickly.

I was at my daughter´s grad ceremony last month and it was really wierd when one of the parents pulled out an e-cig and "lit-up". Not really sure about the health-risks of vapour but it certainly made me want to have a smoke!!

I guess I could care less either way. As a former smoker, the ecigs don't bother me in the least bit and i find that some can smell rather nice. I understand what the WHO is getting at about children tho.

This cracks me up..

Vaping is perfectly safe with zero health risks. You inhale more steam taking a shower..

I don't mind the e-cigs, but it was rather bizarre to be out at a Mardi Gras parade earlier this year and suddenly smelling freshly baked cinnamon rolls.
