Richard Feynman Physics Lecture 01 - Photons, Corpuscles of Light

He was a very likable person as it seems, very much as Carl Sagan seemed to be. Those two managed to hold on to that sense of continuous wonder you have as a kid of how the world and nature works. But as it become more complicated the more you delve into it (for the most of us :)), you have to realize that you have a limit to your intellect. But Feynman and Sagan, and many other great scientists, could press on with that childlike curiosity about everything in our existence, because they had the extended intellect most of us lack.

And I think it is just that childlike curiosity that made Feynman and Sagan the great thinkers and scientists they were, because they could reach in and pull up that childlike curiosity in them - and in us from time to time, when we listen to their enthusiastic teachings - and they could see things from another view, and attack a problem with totally uncorrupted mind. Uncorrupted in the way that their mind isn't rigid in dogma, that science can lay upon many scientists, that make them rigid and afraid to think outside the box. :)

So, all the rest of us knuckleheads can do is just sit back, and be amazed of their minds, how they think, and what they manage to divulge, invent and explain for us. :)

Just listen to this one>>

Richard Feynman - Los Alimos from Below

This is also a facinating and funny talk by Feynman about his experiences while a member of the Manhattan Project.

Feynman, specifically these lectures, is who get me interested in the sciences to begin with.

I came across these books one day in a used bookstore when I was younger. They looked interesting, so I bought them, read them, and never looked at the world the same way again.
