Still Waters

Recommended Posts

A predator-croc that existed before the dinosaurs has been discovered and named by a team of paleontologists. It had steak knife-like teeth, bony plates on its back, and legs that lay under the body.

The fossil suggests that there were big things to eat to need armor against.

The plates could have evolved as protection against other members of the same species, either to avoid cannibalistic predation or as a form of sexual selection assuming males competed for females.

I was just watching a documentary that showed a theory of how crocodiles survived the comet .

Their abilities to live on both land and water, stay underwater for up to 6 hours , they can slow their heart rate to 3 beats a minute , can go without food for months .etc.

This new find might be able to add evidence to support this theory , or support another theory .

Great find , and if you have ever stood near a Saltwater Crocodile, regardless of its size, 9 foot would be a monster .

They said these --- (Their abilities to live on both land and water, stay underwater for up to 6 hours , they can slow their heart rate to 3 beats a minute , can go without food for months .etc.) in the video of Sarcosuchus. I was impressed how the Crocodilian possessed such good features. Also they have an anti biotic in their blood.
