Putting ghosts and spirits into an evil jar?

There are a number of versions of the keys floating around. Sometimes it's iron, and sometimes it's bronze. Sometimes it's the sea and sometimes it's a river.

Look up servitor creation if you want an imaginary friend with benefits.

The spirit in this jar is down right demonic.

You have now crossed over to another whole level of Evil !

Not that I believe this, but there is a way!

You don't capture an evil entity in a jar, but in a mirror box or a Dybbuk Box..

A simple jar cannot contain an evil spirit!

In a mirror box, the evil entity becomes confused about 'which way is out' and remains trapped there...in a Dybbuk Box, a haunted object is placed inside, with prayers and invocations calling all the demons to come forth and 'associate' with it...once they do, you seal the box up with some protection spells to prevent the demon from escaping.

Not that you will ever get a demon to do your own bidding of course....they pretty much have a mind of their own.

So what you're saying is then that they're actually cats?

Personally, I would rather have Fairie's in a jar myself......

So only two demons were successfully captured in this way? When was this? Were they two of Solomons demons ?

The first was Azazel, whom, in the lead up to the Flood, the Archangel Raphael bound in unbreakable chains and sealed in darkness beneath a desert called Dudael, "The Cauldron of God."

The second was a demon (and purportedly Azazel's offspring) called Mastemah, who drove Pharaoh to pursue the Israelites as they left Egypt.  When Mastemah led the Egyptians into the parted waters of the Red Sea, he was set upon by Michael's warriors, who ensured that Mastemah would be in the right place to be trapped beneath the Sea when the waters came back in.

Bit of a far cry from a genie bottle, in scale and scope.  I have no idea how exactly the angels constructed these prisons, only that Azazel's tomb is supposed to keep him contained until the End of Days.
