acute Posted December 23, 2015 #2 Share Posted December 23, 2015 (edited) Very interesting, thank you Mr/Mrs Bot. It's not a fair test though. He was talking to someone that he knew, not just to himself, and he had a light in there that he could turn on at any time. A greater sense of isolation could have produced a very different result. Thorvir Posted December 23, 2015 #4 Share Posted December 23, 2015 I'd take some nice silence over this constant tinnitus anyday.
Still Waters Posted December 23, 2015 #5 Share Posted December 23, 2015 Living next to two barking 'dogs from hell', the silence in that room is inviting and I feel I could cope fine with that. The room being pitch-black would be not so inviting, I'm not used to that unless it involves sleep where it wouldn't matter anyway. Generally I don't like a lot of background noise just for the sake of it, it's nice to have some quiet.
