RobertaStack Posted February 22, 2016 #26 Share Posted February 22, 2016 There's very faint rumors of some sort of bipedal beast roaming Griffith Park in LA but the most dangerous creatures up there are definitely the humans. There are also the Fresno Nightcrawlers up North which I believe were a fairly interesting hoax.
Forever Cursed Posted February 23, 2016 #27 Share Posted February 23, 2016 The Sierra sounds were recorded not far from where I live.... but the Big guy has never dropped by for a visit or a drink ? But if he does, I'll toss a few back with him and post the selfies.
Malalhaialayxz Posted February 24, 2016 #28 Share Posted February 24, 2016 Well, Guadalajara (and Jalisco as a whole) is pretty dry when it comes to cryptid reports and sightings... You see, back in 2011 everyone went batshit over an alleged fairy corpse found by a bricklayer, yet you could easily see the whole thing was one huge hoax, i mean, the freaking "fairy" was just a repainted Tinkerbell figurine made to look like it was dead, yet a lot of people fell for it... *facepalm My mom used to tell me tales of a sasquatch-like humanoid which supposedly lived in the forest called "La Primavera" though. Quaentum Posted March 1, 2016 #29 Share Posted March 1, 2016 We have a type here that can only be seen every so often walking the streets. We call them politicians.
R. Evans Posted March 6, 2016 #30 Share Posted March 6, 2016 (edited) We have a type here that can only be seen every so often walking the streets. We call them politicians. Ha! Now that you mention it, there seems to be more sightings everyday here in Ohio. And suddenly, like crop circles, there are cryptic signs popping up all over the place showing pictures of the various political "animals". I'm afraid, very afraid. Edited March 6, 2016 by R. Black Monk Posted March 8, 2016 #31 Share Posted March 8, 2016 (edited) We've got the Beast of Bolton - a big cat. There are also supposed to be some goblin-like creatures on Winter Hill on the outskirts of the town. The hill borders the boroughs of Bolton, Chorley and Blackbun with Darwen. Atuke Posted March 10, 2016 #32 Share Posted March 10, 2016 We have sightings of Bigfoot in a large state forest just miles from my home. I have followed up on these sightings but have not found any substantial evidence for them. The Appalachian Trail runs through the length of this forest and some folks think Bigfoot uses this trail when they migrate. I'm in the foothills in Appalachia country and the trail is close. Not that it's confirmation but dozens of BFRO reports just miles from me. "They're herrrrrre"
Atuke Posted March 10, 2016 #33 Share Posted March 10, 2016 We have Sasquatch, and the occasional black panther. But of course I'm right close to the second most famous UFO crash...KECKSBURG!!
Atuke Posted March 10, 2016 #34 Share Posted March 10, 2016 Sorry for the late reply but certainly the black shuck dog or old shuck as some call it is a supposedly large black demon dog with glowing red eyes that preys on people around the coast It supposedly burst through the doors of a church in Bungay in 1577 running up the aisle killing a man and a boy in the process I've read about this. Good stuff on YouTube about the Black Shuck dog too. Size and temperament of a Dire wolf but obviously they died out. And this Cryptid was estimated at 200 lbs or more and witnessed by hundreds. So it wasn't a Mastiff or other large canine. Good call on the Black Shuck dog, I never see it on the forums. Definitely one of the more plausible cryptids. Yes? Atuke Posted March 10, 2016 #36 Share Posted March 10, 2016 Substantial evidence? Have you found any evidence? Merc have a little fun. How about I leave a sample jar so Sas can pee in it for some evidence? And extract some DNA tissue with a boobie-trapped barb wire? It'll just show human base-line DNA...since they are human
Gigmaster Posted March 28, 2016 #37 Share Posted March 28, 2016 (edited) Here in N. Georgia, there are occasional sightings of Bigfoot. They are all rubbish, of course, but there, just the same. And, there is the occasional UFO sighting, especially when ball-lighning conditions prevail. Edited March 28, 2016 by Gigmaster

A_Maine96 Posted May 25, 2016 #39 Share Posted May 25, 2016 (edited) I found a useful site for my area http://britainexplorer.com/top-ten-cryptids/ the closest to me would be the roaches and maybe cannock chase. I've been to both places several times and even bouldering in the roaches, I've never seen either of the creatures though. It's a pretty well-trodden area so I doubt there is anything. I'm currently in Indiana. Nothing much here. I think there's supposed to be a big turtle cryptid but I doubt it. mortellementpanthera Posted December 19, 2017 #41 Share Posted December 19, 2017 I live in Oklahoma and I have heard of quite a few. There’s the Bigfoot sightings (especially going into the Ozarks on the Arkansas border), The Howler of the Ozarks, Black Panthers, the Thunderbird, the huge freshwater octopus that is said to reside in Lake Thunderbird (I am very close to this area, and have just recently heard of this) that is “allegedly” responsible for at least three deaths. Ishtinkini or Stigini (owl-like humanoid or a witch who is able to shape shift; harbinger of death), a Deer Woman, the ghost kangaroos, and even a turkey-humanoid. This little piece of folklore was brought to Okie by Woodland tribes such as the Lenape or Shawnee. In Lenape they are called Kiimockh'nii (Night walker) They are a type of witch/warlock who uses shape shifting to do harm or rob people. The owl itself is a harbinger of death to the Lenape and Shawnee. Many traditional Lenape won't even have a owl statue or picture in their houses.
